Music Please

My music collection is so tired that I get excited when shuffle lands on The Postal Service. You don’t even want to know what happens when I make the selection on my own. I might go crazy if I don’t update soon. Please leave a comment with a music recommendation or web site where I can find some music on my own.

This is important. I need help. Nobody should have to listen to me hum “Dream On” anymore.

  1. *new pornographers’ new album, challengers, is great
*the once movie soundtrack (by glen hansard of the frames and marketa irglova) is good but more mellow. see the movie if you haven’t already.
i’ve over-listened to most of my music lately. a few things i am not quite sick of: yeah yeah yeahs (they released a new EP in july), rilo kiley has a new album that’s ok, earlier in the summer i had a wee obsession with feist, but i’m not the best person to ask since i tend to get into music after it’s popularity has waxed and waned.

  2. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists: Jeff turned me on to them and they are a great high energy fast band and do a killer live show.

  3. You may have heard of some of these artists/groups, but here are some of my favs: Martin Sexton, Jump Little Children, Ray Lamontagne, Feist, Marc Broussard. Enjoy!
